Tommaso,

>>I am still not calling a confirmed bear market.

Bear market IMO is confirmed. The NYSE composite index, after trading around its 200 DMA for 11 trading days, has finally broken decisively below that line, and coupled with the NASDAQ composite, which is already way below its 200 DMA, we have a reversal of the long term trend.
We're officially in a bear.
That does not necessarily reflect on the daily change, but the long term trend is no longer up. Therefore I believe we will not approach the highs again, and Dow 9000 is a distant dream. Dow 5300 a more probable nightmare.
