I think IBM and the market in general will recover, and move sideways for a week. Then the multinationals will start to see their prices trimmed as concerns over the worlds financial future and excessively valued US $ are taken into account on future earnings.

An IBM will take an above average correction and the DOW on average will trend down, but not at an uncontrolled rate.

Probable bottom of the correction being third week of October. Typical value for the DOW at that time would be 8300, depending upon the bear/bullishness of the world situation in the meanwhile.

Personally, I am hoping for an excessive bounce back up today and Monday so I can trim the portfolios. I admit, yesterday took me by surprise and I suspect screwed my game plan. Bounce babe bounce.
