TigerPaw, Let me put it to you this way,Russia is no economic power house,it never was and is not now.If it wasn't for the old nuclear weapons lying around they would be nothing,economically speaking. As an example India has more foreign currency reserves than Russia,their current account deficit is more than India,their foreign debt is more than India,and finally their GDP is not any bigger than India's at approx.300-400 billion dollars.So there you have it, so all this hoopla about Russia created by the media and financial pundits are plain old B.S to shake off the weak hands for an easy killing. Now you do the math.... PS: I am looking for more info on Russia's economic 'might',if I find it I will post it here later.
