Soup - why would IBM buy Apple??? Sure Apple or other companies can be great but if the market turns bearish it doesn't matter, PEs decline because of lack of buyers and Apple gets 16-17 for a 34 or so fair value. I'd only point out one other thing. These things we are seeing overseas (and in Canada) are not typical. In our lifetimes we haven't seen this before. The world is at a turning point that may be as macro as the future of free markets. I can't predict what will happen but I know enough not to be sanguine that every thing will be all right if I just buy and hold. Be careful. Rich
