------OT------- The US is a managed free market, with all kinds of laws and protections from the abuses of unrestricted free-markets, be they simple things like lending requirements, sophisticated thingsb like interest rate policy, or subtle things like the balance between different forms of taxation. In fact I the US economy is one of the best managed fre-market economies in history.
