I'm not an accountant, Andy, and would not purport to advise anyone on my interpretation of MRV's financials. I'm irritated by the fact that arrogant shorts can claim a victory here, when it appears they just got lucky. I've held MRV for quite a while, but haven't added any more this year. I've been waiting to see how the overall market behaves. I do blame management for their own arrogance in sharehold value/related matters. There is no doubt that there were leaks preceding yesterday's announcement, just judging from the stock action. Part of the problem was the breakdown in the overall market and preference for large caps. To some extent this masked the reasons for MRV's price erosion, IMHO. Do I wish I'd been short instead of long at this particular time? Sure. Am I going to lose sleep over it? Not yet...... mph
