(Off-Topic)Al, If they had plans all along to save the CDN$ then you are right - they should have done this before the small leak become an uncontrolled hole. Now that the MM speculators have it engrained in their mentality that the CDN$ associates directly with the on-going crisis, the Bank of Canada attempts to save the $ will do little to change this mentality. Some say it will take another 2% raise to stop the bleeding - that would kill an forward progress in the Canadian economy. I think they should have stuck to their guns an not interfered with the interest rate hike. But now they have hurt our economy and not saved the dollar. Smart going dorks! Toy
