Agree, I find this interview intriguing. I find it interesting that Syed Iftikar stated that Iomega is developing its own MR drive. All along, I've felt that Iomega wanted to be a total storage solution.

Now, to stay within the intent of this board:

a. Syed Iftikar is indeed an entrepreneur. IMHO, that requires absolute confidence in one's self, as well as an unshakeable belief in one's goal. I would not expect any other type of statements from him different than what we read.

b. FWIW, I have always felt entrepreneurs have a great deal of hypester and a fair measure of PT Barnum in their makeup.

c. I do believe that the manufacturers Syed talked to did say that the demand for the Orb could be great- any other statement would be really stupid to make. IFF the specs prove out, it would be an innovative device. And IFF the device proves viable, the box makers could not afford to shut any doors.

So, I guess well see, huh?
