I think the shock of us going back to 6400 would be the thing that turns the average person away from the stock market. The current bubble will pop, and things will be different.

Russia, in and of itself, is a minor player in this drama. It is the spectacle of country after country falling into financial ruin that has Wall Street worried. The U.S. is riding high now, but for how long? Consider: Russia borrowed billions and billions from German banks that likely won't be repaid now. What will happen in Germany because of that? If Germany get roiled, what happens to the rest of Europe?

It's all a big house of cards, and a slight breeze is starting to blow....when the gale hits, watch out!
