I have to agree with you on this - the darlings are selling off and leadership is turning, at least momentarily, to some of the under-valued small caps. I think that there will be more downside risk in the blue chips than small caps - they just have much further down the valuation scale to go. They will return to at least partial favor this fall but we may not see some of the exorbitant valuations we have had - particularly in the stocks valued at far flung future expectations, which, at times like these, look more tenuous. When the future looks cloudy, 5-10 year valuations look increasingly speculative.
