If Alcatel is stable in France but less stable on NYSE, then I would expect the (future) currency exchange to have some influence. Is there some arbitrage on currency exchange here?

DSC has been trading at the equivalent of the Alcatel ADR price less a few bucks for some time. Eventually, the few bucks should decrease. If one were to wait long enough, one would eventually get Alcatel ADR's. Except for the possibility of HSR rejection.

DSC's fundamentals are being ignored. Recall that BA (Before Alcatel) price was about 18.

Too many non-fundamental things for me. But then again, the whole market seems to be irrational these days.
