Wrong again NW:

It clearly pointed out the only economic advantage of communism. Basic distribution of basic goods.

This is a figment of your imagination. It is a perversion of anything Friedman has ever written. If you took your economics in the 1960s, the book most likely was Capitalism and Freedom. I challenge you to go to to your library, find the book and reread it. You are spreading calumnies. Anyone who has seriously studied history knows that any such statement about Communism is utterly and completely false. Friedman holds that one of the shortcomings of Communism (i.e., socialism) is precisely that it fails to deliver the goods - at the most basic or any other level. You are correct that Friedman is a great economist, but somehow you have acquired a twisted understanding of his views.
