Check out the performance of 3DNOW! at high resolution, 1024 x 768. You'll see the power of the K6-2 and 3DNOW! I believe you'll find it on Toms page.

AMD and Cyrix had to support MMX...but in the end...MMX is a dud.
At least the Pentium MMX was a little faster because Intel added cache.
Developers who were conned into writing programs for MMX may think twice about doing the same for MMX2. Sure, there will be a place for it in a few programs but like MMX it may just be "no big deal".
