It looks to me like Cisco is going to be offering affordable hardware that will make it easier for small firms to install intranets, specifically intranets based on the http format, which means Open Text among others. I see the Cisco announcement as beneficial to Open Text, unless I have misread what's in the release. Cisco doesn't appear to be selling the software involved. >>"With the Cisco Micro Webserver, users can build "mini" intranets for simple information access. When used with a CD-ROM player, the Micro Webserver provides access to corporate publications, product documentation and databases published in HTML format. The Webserver interfaces with the Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer browser and has a removable Iomega Zip Drive which provides 100 MB of data and application storage."
