While I agree with you, the problem comes with trying to figure out where to draw the line. For example, if Clinton really believes that he is the only one that is in a position to bring about peace in the (fill in the blank) region of the world, and that telling the truth might make it impossible to do so, shouldn't he lie to stay in a position to save the lives of all those people that would otherwise die in a needless war?

I am not saying those were his motivations, but how can we know (he sure isn't going to tell us, and we wouldn't believe him if he did)?
