The stock market has proven to be a quite resilient time and time again over the years. The Russian financial crisis appears to have simply added to the current fear already hurting the market. The question is are we near the end of this sell off? If so can we expect certain stocks, or groups of stocks to outperform and why?

I have rarely seen so much negativity in my years of investing. It's not so much panic as it is a surprising sense of resolve among investors that the worldwide economic downturn will eventually drag the US economy down with it.

Anyone else out there think that capitalism is still the greatest system ever created? Anyone else out there think that we might just get a nice rebound in the stock market as early as next week?

If you do, and even if you don't, you may still have a strong opinion of where your favorite stock or stock groups are headed. Please feel free to share your ideas here.

Regards, Jeff
