<<As it stands, if it werent for all these "leaks" generated by Starr, we would know very little about what was going on>>

Another place where we differ. In Starr's past investigation, there were no leaks suspected from his office. He has no history of leaks, and I don't see how leaks would help his position. However, Clinton supporters do have a history of leaking information both as trial baloons and to start rumours or damage control - release the information a little at a time to inure the public to it, and get them to call for a halt to the investigation. Since the response to the leaks had been utterly anti-Starr (until the dress mess), why would Starr continue to leak information, especially when he was under investigation? Of course, Clinton continued to engage in "questionable" sexual activity even though he knew he was under investigation. Given the circumstances, I think it is more likely the leaks did not come from Starr's office.
