Hi Evan,

I just read Scott's note to you regarding:
anyway, does anyone have an opinion on Exide (EX)?

He's the resident expert here, but I sure wouldn't be anxious to own any of EX very soon. I just checked it a moment ago and it's down 13/16 on the day and has put in multi-year lows at 10 - so far.

OBV has been in a steady decline since early 1995, suggesting lack of interest on the buy side. Of course, as you've suggested, a buyout could be one way for price to move higher. But I wouldn't want to buy it now in hopes that might occur.

How low can it go? Take a look at the last two years of NEOP.

Best of luck! Ken
