Hi Kyle,

Only thing I have to add to your thoughtful post is that CDT's earnings report for the last quarter was above estimates as I recall.

This afternoon CNBC had a report explaining that about 55% of U.S. companies expect to have earnings less than expected for the 3rd quarter. They added that on the positive side the downturn is only expected for that timeframe and earnings should be back on track for the end of '98 and on into '99.
