Henry thanks for the take on the trading strategies affecting the dollar. When I wrote my earlier post the dollar index was only down about 1.00 points, now it has closed and is off close to 2.00 points. The index is below 100 now, where it has spent a good part of 1998. Any decline in the US dollar will be good news for those countries that have tied their fortunes to it, countries like Hong Kong and Argentina. The speculators have been so overwhelmingly bullish on the dollar, it comes as little surprise that it is now declining.
