My thoughts for what it's worth tgdre (36/M/Cleveland) Aug 28 1998 5:38PM EDT
There is no doubt the Crows are organized. Is it a conspiracy? Of course it is, what else could it be. Beware Crows, conspiracies are usually uncovered as yours will be too. But in all seriousness now we have JD Hole giving affidavits. Isn't this the same company that put together the first Thermo Plants, the ones that didn't work right. The ones that needed better pumps, better rollers on the conveyor system the plants with no RTO, or evaporator , no negative air system, the plant who's grinders broke down often and were replaced by venturi scrubbers. Didn't Dick Engineering replace them, the company who made the plants work right. What possible motive can JD Hole have against TT? I wonder. As for Richmond being delayed because of a part only Lockerbie Hole can install. Give me a break I think Stothert Engineering can handle it.
I doubt anyone here can say that this court case hasn't hurt both companies. It has turned ugly and shareholders on both sides have been hurt. As for the blame I think Stan and Rene are equally to blame. Is it too late to work things out? I think so. But who knows? The courts will probably decide this one and it may not turn out good for either company. The crows will keep up their campaign against TT and we will continue to fight back, this will probably take years to solve. There is the contempt issue, then there is the cancellation of the agreement , then possibly damages and so on and so forth. Trooper has watched their own share price drop. If I were a crow I wouldn't be so sure about the outcome of this one. Trooper has nothing and cannot take a court loss they will drop faster than the Ruble. They have nothing. On the other hand TT can survive a loss it will hurt but they will survive. This is Canada not the US, awards over 1 million just aren't awarded in Canada. You crows are really reaching. The courts will decide this one not the Crows.
Now for what happened yesterday? Rene flew into Toronto and was to meet with the fifth and final lawyer who needed to sign the financing. This lawyer got stuck in Miami for whatever reason and could not make it. It will be signed. They have to have it signed by all parties involved and must be in the form of a written release before any CC can take place. If you want proof hat TT will get this financing, the construction company building Osua has been given a letter from the lenders guaranteeing them payment for construction. Construction started on Osua on August 16. There was no release because TT wanted the financing in the bank first, they did not want to have to explain how they were building without the financing. That makes two plants at Hamilton and two under construction (Richmond and Osua) with Niagara starting soon. I understand Carver is expected to be operational before the end of the fiscal year. With Corinth expected to be reopened, we are looking at seven plants by fiscal years end. We have two transfer stations a depackaging center and a soon to be wastewater treatment plant. This is fact not hype. Say what you want but this is progress.
Do we need a new man at the helm? I don't think so but I do think we need some changes. It is time for Rene to step up to the plate and deliver or it may be his last at bat because many do not agree with me .I will continue to defend this company for now. But even my patience is wearing thin.

PS Hey Scotty I wrote this myself just like all the others. As for the spelling and grammar I have only Microsoft word for that. I do not work for TT although I should. And Scotty you better be able to prove your slanderous lies. I know you can't .And I think you know you can't . You better be careful Scotty. BTW how's the weather in Cal. |
