Well 2nd thing to go is memory they say BUT ABBY SAYS BUY DELL.....

Dellicious:

She was just on a few minutes ago,'lemme' see I can remember what she said.

Some of the points:

1)Russia- Russian economy is very important to the Russians and perhaps to the Eastern Europeans but not to the U.S in any great extent as the U.S only exports less than 1% of our total exports.

2)Market gyrations- due to fear and uncertainity and not because of any changes in fundamentals.

3)Opinion on the market- S&P approx undervalued by 10% and she said the numbers are not to be taken as overly accurate and they are only used as a guideline.

4)Banking Exposure- Goldman's study has shown the U.S banks have been very conservative in their lending to Russia and their exposure if any is backed by good reserves. Asked about BoAs loss of some 200 million in Russia she said she can only comment on U.S banking industry in general and not any banks in general.

5)Latin America- is more important to the U.S than Russia and said something like LatAm countries are in better position than in Russia particularly Brazil and other countries.

6)What would it take for the markets to turn around- She said perhaps passage of time and new economic data in the coming months.

7)U.S economy- Goldman has projected that the U.S economy will continue to grow and corporate profits in general will also accelerate though to slower a degree in general.

8)Where to invest- Technology,Financials,Retailers and the like and avoid companies like energy companies with larger exposure to the global markets.

9)Name some names- DELL (of course),Intel, even Compaq (gg),Applied Materials etc in Technology.

MBINA,Chase Manhattan and some others I don't recall the others...

Well that is just the about the size of it I think, I am sure someone will correct me If I am wrong or add to what I have said in case I missed anything.
