I know that this hedging goes on, typically in spite of promises from convertible holders not to do it. But do you have evidence that this has actually occurred?

Re the question about forthcoming dilution: you've got to assume conversion of the preferred into common, even if the holders don't actually do it. Because holders can exercise it at their option after Nov. 15 (or the company forcing them to), for earnings reporting purposes the company has to report as if all convertibles have been executed. As for out-of-the-money warrants, I don't know
