Stephen,

I started a thread on Asyst Technology (ASYT), another semi
equipment maker, because they have been growing rapidly, have
few shares outstanding (5.3M), and are cheap with respect to
sales/share and equity/share.

They have moved down in price since last summer along with most
other semi equipment makers. This downward movement is based on
the street's feeling that semis and to a greater extent semi
equipments are cyclical and that the end of a boom cycle since
90-91 is approaching.

I would appreciate your technical view point for ASYT and the whole
semi equipment industry. By the end of 1997, will today's typical $20
semi equipment stock be at $50 or at $7? The answer will be worth
a lot of money to a lot of people, so be convincing.

Thank you

Cary
