U.S. Technologies Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: USXX - news; the ''Company'') today announced that it has entered into a three-year agreement with Affordable Interior Systems, Inc. (''Affordable''), a wholly-owned subsidiary of U.S. Office Products (Nasdaq: OFIS - news), to manufacture and assemble products that comprise modular office furniture systems (work stations). It is expected that the Company will generate revenues in excess of $5 million over the term of the agreement.

Sounds good...but that will be a tough market - modular office furniture systems - to break into and be competitive...to gain enough market share to become profitable. With Steelcase, Herman Miller, Hayworth, Knoll and the like already comanding the market, it'll be tough. Unless maybe they're aiming at clients without the big bucks budget.

Where will they manufacture? Is manufacturing already set up? Who will do the installations? Any plans in place to project manage reconfigurations? Who are OFIS's current clients? Do they currently trade in reconditioned panels, worksurfaces, etc. or plan to? Do they recondition any themselves for resale?

I've done no research on OFIS, so I guess that would be in order...
