A while back, Bob discussed the possibility of a major triple bottom being put in by the Japanese market. The Nikkei went from 39,000 in 1989 to 14,309 in 1992. This was followed by a dead cat bounce to about 21,000 and a subsequent retest of the lows in 1995. The Japanese market then rallied to about 22,600 in 1996 and then moved back to retest the lows again three times this year.

Well, it certainly looked like a triple bottom. Until yesterday, that is, when the Japanese market finally broke through the benchmark low set in 1992 and moved down to about 13,900.

It would be interesting hearing Bob's take on the foreign market action too.

Best wishes,

I2

PS - I've seen a lot of concern the last couple of days over the impact of the Russian economic problems on the world economy. I heard an interesting bit of information today: The total USA trade with Russia is smaller than our trade with the Dominican Republic. Sounds pretty small, doesn't it?
