Thanks Double D! Thanks for the first real good laugh I've had in days. Your honesty and humor is refreshing. I feel your pain (and mine). Took Bob's Utek buy at $30.00, now at $20.00. Took Bob's buy for SPY under 110, bought at 109 and at 106, now at 103.Took Bob's advise on 25% non US, 15% I put into Vanguard Intl Growth, the other 10% Euro Index (the only winner so far - but dropping quickly) My entire portfolio I have put together in the last 18 months since I began investing is down 3%. I am young with a 40 year investment horizon ahead so I am not too worried... but it does get frustrating. Double D on Aug 28 1998 5:05PM EST I take full responsibility. It is not Bob's fault that the benchmark lows were violated. This is the first time I adhered fully to Bob's buy recommendation. Alas, because my historical market bad luck is legendary, I'm afraid that my commitment to Bob's model has jinxed its effectiveness, and thus, I am the one to blame. Call in the "Double D Effect."
