I grabbed Triteal's 10Q off of EDGAR and found statements that said owners of 5% or more would be restricted from selling, in any form, their shares for 180 days. It also says that Triteal may not, in any form, take any action to stablize the price of the stock. Under risks, it says that historically a large portion of their revenues comes from a small number of customers. We get CDE on our Suns for free, so why would we bother to buy CDE from Triteal? So what if it's got X/Open branding. Would I really notice?
Triteal has licensed SoftNC to some big NC makers, but a deal to BUNDLE it would be much better. The established NC makers (and I mean those that have been around for five years or more) already have a usable GUI for connecting to servers, and launching programs can already be done by double clicking on icons when the NC is connected to Microsoft Windows (I'm thinking of NCD and WinCenter here) or even to Unix running CDE. So what does SoftNC really buy you. Okay, consistancy across an enterprise. But how much are IBM, NCD, Fujitsu, et. al. going to try to sell it to their customers? Isn't the majority of the selling effort up to tiny little Triteal?

Feedback welcomed.

Jim
