Bob, I don't know. Have heard they did not actually contract Mckinzie Partners but that they had didcussed some of the research capabilities of that organization.
It is possible, but not probable, that while XOMA had discussions with McKinzie and did not hire them that someone else did. This would create the following existing confusion. Mr. Prill reports the call, we go wild, XOMA says we didn't hire them, but wait we did talk to them back in XX. Everyone then thinks it's a dead issue. What works against this, besides being implausible, is the fact that Opal said the call he got said XOMA was doing the survey. Very doubtful, now that we have some better information, that they would have said this if not true, especially give that XOMA had held discussions with them.
So anything is possible, even when not probable. Hope this really helps. <g> |
