I was in the market in 1987 when the overall market dumped. You could just taste the fear in the air. You knew the market was heading south. But more importantly, you had little warning before it hit. I do not have that feeling with this market anymore. This time it was different. There were all kinds of indicators giving us the warnings we needed. It feels as if a lot of the downward pressure has been relieved. I still expect another day down but I think we will see a pop here soon. This next run should be enormous. I believe Joe was right that the next several months will be explosive but I believe we still have rough weather ahead near the end of the year. My trading style for the rest of this year will be day trade only and you can bet I'll be out of the market every night and every weekend (excluding special circumstances). I've got this thing about getting a good night's sleep!
