I've been a long term holder of RailAmerica (NASDAQ: RAIL), which owns short lines here and in South America. The company appears to be solidly profitable, and in the middle of an "up to" one million share buyback. I do not, however, have your expertise in evaluating either specific railroad stocks, or the industry. Any feedback on RAIL would be much appreciated.
