BNYN at $3.00 a share vs book value at $2.71 a share.
Cash on hand is $22M.

I doubt if BNYN will go it alone.

Obviously, switchboard.com is coveted by Portal companies
without long term arrangements with yellow/white page
search engine companies. This leaves out AOL, Yahoo, and
Netscape.

But how about Lycos (terrible search engine
supplied by GTE), Excite, Infoseek, Inkotomi?

Also, what will happen to Banyan's other business?

Is there any company who could use BOTH lines of businesses?

The answer is YES : COMPAQ (with DEC and Alta Vista)?
The DEC sales force could run with the Banyan product line
and switchboard.com would be folded into Alta Vista.

Comments welcome
