Market gurus.

In his book, Trading For A Living, Dr. Alexander Elder writes of market gurus: "When you recognize a successful new guru, it is profitable to jump on his bandwagon. It is even more important to recognize when a guru has reached his peak. All gurus crash - and, by definition, they crash from the height of their fame."

He goes on to say that one way of recognizing a guru has peaked is when he/she is included in the January issue of Barron's, containing a panel of analysts discussing the coming year.

Bob has not attained this kind of fame, as far as I know. He's been relatively low key.

Unlike Clinton, I believe Bob will say that he was wrong. He will remain bullish - no flip-flop from him - but admit that the timing model cannot always predict the future with 100% accuracy. At least, that's what I hope he says. If he says the words "inapproriate relationship", I'm outta here.
