DGIVERS, regarding the move, I think most would agree that William said it best. I'll repost his thoughts for anyone to reread if necessary, and then, as time permits, let's all follow up on those actions (unless someone objects).
As an aside, some of you may have noticed I've had a difficult time with the "family" concept... in fact I don't know where I stand with the majority of you folks (there are exceptions). I haven't really refined my thoughts on this, or drawn conclusions, so i'll just ramble off some of the factors i think are involved:
-time: within the past month I have routed a good portion of my energy towards researching DGIV. I'm just beginning to learn DD skills, and it's exciting to learn about DGIV. Consequently, I've made little effort to even so much as say hello to most of you. For that I apologize. Hello to all :-) -emotions: I am hesitant to become emotional when dealing with my money. I can forsee my tendency to become to attached/reliant upon what my friends think of DGIV, and less dependent on what I personally think of DGIV. -age: As far as I know, I'm the youngest person who posts to this board. This means that I am likely the least experienced (at investing). Given these factors, my having been as assertive as I have been lately has probably not helped my reception either.
I think that pretty much covers the reasons for why I feel awkward. I just wanted to let everyone know that it's important that I feel welcome. I've got a ton of ideas and think that I can add substance to the thread, but I do want to feel some of the warmth that you folks provide as well.
Looking forward to Sept... Dave (making his pitch for cadet status)
