T, it is natural and intrinsic for the suckers to call rational people "morons" and "idiots" - if they did not they would not be suckers. So don't despair. -g-

Dividends will be cut (from 1930 to 1933 Dow divs were cut by 2/3), DJIA E is likely to be negative, so P/E won't matter. It's too early to look for the bottom and try to predict ultimate numbers, a lot will depend on policy response (the less intervention and the less artificial propping of various markets the sooner it will end and with less pain). A true fundamental sign of the ultimate bottom will be when no more productive capacity investments would be planned by businesses for a year or so.
