Both are companies who chose (proven wise in AOL's case) to accrue huge losses
early-on establishing their brands and territory in cyberspace.

This is not a comparison. One is an ISP with content and the other is a poor e-tailor. We could debate this forever but the barriers to entry to compete with AOL are huge. Not so with Amazon.

Let's just give it time:-)
