Steve, Dont worry about the tag team stuff, it's a conversation, jump right in:-)
with all dur respect, I just dont agree with some of the assumptions that you have made. I am very happy that they work for you(sincerely) but that type of thinking wont work for me. I will give you a few examples. I would copy some of the parts of yur letter, but for some reason, AOL 4.0 wont let me do that, anymore.(can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?)
god demand submission---
Why does god demand submission before he will give you truth? Is loyalty or belief based on truth less meaningfull? Does belief based on truth hold less currency for God, than blind loyalty? Why? what is wrong with recricated love as opposed to fealty to a superior being?
Also, we are human and we screw things up sometimes. We also get it right sometimes and are capable of committing large and wonderull acts of love and compassion. god knows our nature. why do you think a superior being would have no understanding of nature and have no compassion and love that would entitle him to love us as we are? why do we have to be perfectly sinless to be loved and valued by god? again, I dont understand that.
sincerely,
