" Mark McGwire was ejected by first-year umpire Sam Holbrook Saturday after arguing a controversial called third strike in the first inning of the Cardinals' 4-3 loss to the Atlanta Braves. The ejection prevented McGwire from adding to his total of 54 home runs and incensed a sellout crowd at Busch Stadium.
