Kemble, thanks for the long and short answer...they were very informative. First, I'd like to say that I'm in full agreement with your analysis and feelings on the market and Dell. Second, I spent many years in the hi-tech industry, and as the man once said...seen all this before. In the long run, well managed companies do survive the ups and downs of the hi-tech marketplace, and the stock market. Look at what Intel, Microsoft, Cisco, et al have been through over the past years...yet, they really are stronger than ever. (I know that there are those who would take exception with what I just said.) Dell is certainly one of these companies. They were first to market with their business model, and their execution has been flawless. (Well, maybe there have been a few bumps along the way.) So, what Dell brings to the table is not pc's, not being a box maker, and not being a "me too player". They bring their business model to the pc industry and made the industry into a new game. The challenge that Dell faces as they go forward is to ensure that they keep playing hardball and stay ahead of the pack.

At this time the stock markets look like a black hole in the ground. No light at the end, not even the train's light. However, the foreign markets will settle down again, the fundamentals in the U.S. will remain favorable, the markets stabilize and will turn-up. Dell will benefit by the markets actions, and the stock continue to reward us all.

Looking forward to reading your future postings.
