Jim,

I read the Forbes' article and a recent article in Barron's which also traced Kodak's resurrection.

It was interesting to learn that the Kodak DC 260 camera sold out shortly after its release in June. The delayed upswing in high resolution cameras utilizing CompactFlash is one of the reasons that SanDisk has done poorly since April. I went to the Sony Sound Center near my home today and they have one or two Mavicas collecting dust in the showcase and have not restocked the shelves. 640 x 480 resolution just doesn't cut the mustard anymore. The DC 260 achieves 1,600,000 pixels per image versus the Mavica's anemic 300,000 pixels. The five-fold difference in resolution is apparent immediately.

I just tried out the latest Nikon Coolpix which has comparable resolution, optical zoom and CompactFlash memory. The results are shockingly good.

I, too, wished the article would have downplayed the upcoming Advantix digital processing and the affiliations with AOL (internet film service) and Intel (microprocessor).

Please keep the faith and hope that Christmas is good to Eli and SNDK shareholders. I cannot stand these goddam single digits any longer.

E-mail me at SanDiskFan@aol.com for sample photos !!!
