I'm not sure what to say about the confusion, Bill. I have consistently argued that violent crimes should be punished very seriously, and this would of course include those involving weapons. At the same time, I have argued that nonviolent criminals should be punished in ways that do not incarcerate them, including treatment.

Frankly, I suspect that women use weapons more rationally than men do, because they don't have them all mixed up emotionally with their sex organs and general prowess at life.
