The HKMA and the Securities Exchange will be taking measures that prevents the concentrated attacks by the large speculators. We must remember that they are using the HKMA charter to cause the interest rates to rise and the resulting harm to businesses causes the market to fall. Something has to be changed to allow a market based on investments, not manipulation. The below is a sign of things to come.

I think restoring the 'up-tick rule' would virtually make it impossible for the speculators to attack the entire market, yet still allow shorting of the individual companies.
