Another way around this for the MM that needs to cover is he could just buy stock from his buddy MM through a Canadian brokerage that will go short naked.Now he has fulfilled his obligation under the alleged court ruling.The MMs can throw around this short position as long as they want between each other.AZNT would end up spending all their funds just on legal fees trying to keep up to the shorts.
It would be funny to see a block trade of say 500k go through Monday.Then you would know the MMs were just passing the short position around.
