Hi, Solon. I'll check out Muffy's current plight later. But right now I feel the urge to flame the Amish, penguins, and Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, Va. I quote from various sources which claim to report true incidents:
1) "In one of the strangest alliances ever encountered by law enforcement in the Amish community of Pennsylvania, members of the Pagans Motorcycle Club allegedly conspired with some young Amish men to sell "multiple kilograms" of cocaine to Amish youth groups. The drugs were to be sold to the Amish youths during hoedowns. The deals took place in Gap, PA, minutes east of Intercourse, PA."
[during hoedowns!?]
2)"In February, Cambridge (England) University researcher Fiona Hunter, who has studied penguins' mating habits for five years, reported that some females apparently allow male strangers to mate with them in exchange for a few nest-building stones, thus participating in what Hunter believes is the first observed animal prostitution. According to Dr. Hunter, all activity is done behind the back of the female's regular mate, and in a few instances, after the sex act, the johns may give the females additional stones as sort of a tip."
3) "When Virginia Broache got home from Bon Secours St. Mary's Hosptial in Richmond, Va., just after have had her cancerous bladder removed, her nurse was unpacking for her and discovered that among the 'personal effects' the hopital had sent home with her was the actual bag-encased, just-removed bladder. A hospital staffer said, 'We apologize.'"
And because it is only fair to praise as well flame, I offer the following moving item in praise of Shirley MacLaine:
"On the day before Good Friday, reported the Los Angeles Times, Dr. Ernesto A. Moshe Montgomery consecrated the Shrine of the Weeping Shirley MacLaine in a room in the Beta Israel Temple in Los Angeles. In spired by a vision he said he had had while riding in the actress's private jet, the shrine contains a large photograph of Montgomery with MacLaine that was 'observed shedding tears,' and which has inspired prayers and testimony of miraculous healings." |
