Hi Paul ... I didn't attend the meeting but my understanding is that there were sufficient proxy ballots cast and so the shareholder mtg vote was only a formality. i.e. it had already passed prior to the meeting.

I am surprised that anyone thinks that there would be a shred of chance that the merger vote wouldnt pass?

I havent heard of anyone who thinks that the merger is a bad idea... except on SI from people who wanted a cash offer of 45 bucks a share. Of course that would be ludicrous since NT wants Bay people to stick around and make the combined ompany sucessful.

Stay tuned. From the discussions I have had with the integration teams I think that there is tremendous amount of positive directions taht we will begin to talk about come next week. This deal is huge and it is my job and everyones at Bay and NT to make sure that we execute. I for one am extremely positive.
