lws, the blurb in Battery Power Products was simple PR, as it was in the section that amounts to announcements of new products from different vendors. The wording is plain, but the fact VLNC is saying it directly to the potential customer base instead of "off the record" to a few select people evaluating their cells is very important.

They are in effect saying they want more people to call them and request samples. It forces them to start delivering on promises to a much wider audience. They are setting themselves up for a credibility check by the whole industry.
