Tom,

I was amazed at the amount of exposure US banks had in Russia. IT is somewhat comparable to the amount Japan banks had in SE Asia.

It has struck me that, except for the high tech companies, US industry seemed to focus on China has the country for expansion and had little Russian exposure, but the US banks have large Russian exposure and very little in China. Investment versus loans?
