Anybody have any opinion (opinions are like ....navels(?)..everybody has one)as to the effect a free fall in the Dow would have on the junior resource market?

I could build an argument that though the Bre-X and gold price disasters had a terrible effect over the last year and a half, that we ain't seen nothin' yet. There's a guy who has a free oil drilling stock email newsletter who just issued a report from Norway where he was working. There are oilfield equipment stocks there down 80-90%. So one could easily see a liquidity crisis here, people panicking, and diamond exploration stocks going down a lot more.

Then, there's the possibility that if people panic they will start buying gold mutual funds. Maybe this is wishful thinking? Anyway, if they do that, Aber could do well, since a lot of gold mutual funds own Aber, I think. But would people want to buy stocks like WSP or MGJ? I doubt if many mutual funds own them. Maybe they would go down? It would be a bit bizarre to see Aber go up, say, 100% and WSP to go down 50%, but maybe that's possible.

Well, what say you all?
BTW, you if you want to check out the free oil drilling site, it's at:
jump.to

Wish there was something like that for every industry.
