Ramsey -

Well well finally a bit of good news from an unexpected quarter. It seems as if all this currency turbulence has put a spoke in the EU plans for a single currency. Apparently as a result of all the currency movements five of the countries that were going to join now no longer meet the criteria for joining!!!!!

Now the EU won't like this one little bit I mean someone interfering with their plans especially as it will make the Britsh view look very much justified. Now what will they do? The answer I guess is anything and everything they have to to get the single currency under way.

That means that the are going to have to get busy right away not next week or next month but now and that means that sooner of later the EU or its members and partners ie the US and Japan are going to have to pay up and give the Russians cash even if its money down the drain. They'll do it or they'll have to change the criteria and chaging the criteria will weaken the currencly even before it gets going so they will have to pay.

So now we've got one third of the cash. Next we need the US and then Japan and we can forget about Russia for another year. Next year we'll pay up again but its cheaper than building aircraft carriers and nuclear subs!!!!

Regards,

L
