Street Walker

I checked out the board that you recommended ABIT BH6 and found one place that advertises in Computer Shopper that has that with a P11 - 266 for $389 or the 300 for $449
I also found the ASUS P2L97 for almost the same as above.
Both boards have 5 PCI slots

As far as overclocking a chip - just to complicated for me and from what I have heard a 266 or 300 should work fine for what I need.

Sep. 12 there will be a computer show here and they do have some great deals if you know what it is your looking for and I will be there checking things out to see if I would be better off building this myself ( mostly watching - got a friend who doe's it) or just bringing a list of the parts I want to a local shop and letting them do it. They are only about 10 min. from me and have a 5 year warranty on labor and 3 on parts.

What exactly is the PCI slot for ? besides a video card why would I might need a extra slot ?

Thanks
Tim

Congrats on the set up !
